Gumby's is named after our first Shar-Pei.

Gumby's Chinese Shar-Pei was founded in 1984 on a small farm in Unionville Ontario Canada.

Gumby was a Birthday present for my Husband Brad who had seen a picture of the rarest dog in the world in a magazine and had to have one.

After 2 moves, 5 Daughters and many years involved in the breed, the Robins family moved to Aurora and finally settled  to King City Ontario in 2010. We now reside on a beautiful 10 acre horse farm.

Our first show dog, Moshu Ivory of Gumby really motivated us to own, breed and love the very best Shar-Pei in Canada!

Ivory was a Champion in Canada and the United States as well as a Best In Specialty Show winner!

Gumby's Chinese Shar-Pei

I am a founding member and past President of the Chinese Shar-Pei Club of Canada as well as a Life Time Member of the Canadian Kennel Club. I have also been a member of the Chinese Shar-Pei Club of America since 1983.

I have bred and owned multiple Best In Show winning dogs, many Best Puppy In Show winners and many National Best In Specialty Show winners. I also have a Grand Futurity Winner and Best Puppy in sweeps winner at a US National Specialty.

In 1994 I sold Sharon Palmay and Jennifer Palmay Tucker their first CSP puppy. By 1996 they bought their second one and in 1998 their third one. It was at that point they became partners in the Gumby's breeding program, Together we have achieved huge successes in the breed!

We take pride in being breeders of more then just show dogs. We are proud to say we also breed incomparable family pets! Our dogs have a long standing reputation for having fabulous loving temperaments.  While temperaments are very important to us our main goal is to breed for health AND Longevity.

While breeding outstanding show dogs and loving pets, rescue in Ontario has been part of our lives for over 25 years. We have placed hundreds of dogs in new loving forever homes.

We look forward to your visit. Our doors are always open!

Best Regards,
Andrea Robins and Sharon Palmay
Canadian Kennel Club Master Breeder
